EAST PEORIA — With two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning and the bases loaded, Dunlap pitcher Sutton Centoni stepped up to the plate.

Going up against New Lenox Providence Catholic’s Macie Robbins, who previously struck out five batters and gave up five hits, the game was tied at 0-0. Centoni, the Illinois commit already had a hit to her name in the sixth inning and had the chance to win the game in a situation young players dream about in their backyard.

On the first pitch, Centoni belted the ball into the outfield, where Providence Catholic’s right fielder was tracking it. Diving for it, the Celtics couldn’t make the play, sending Dunlap’s Hannah Parker across the plate to clinch a 1-0 victory.
