The Roundup, April 29, 2026: Seidell’s three homers, Weber’s no-hitter, Peoria city meet in track highlight Wednesday’s action

Wednesday’s prep sports slate in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area saw several big showings from area stars, including Pekin’s Kylea Seidell who hit three home runs, Normal Community’s Beckett Weber who threw a no-hitter and Peoria High’s Malik Johnson who led Peoria High to the city track and field title with three wins.


Other highlights included East Peoria and Peoria Notre Dame baseball bouncing back plus Brimfield/Elmwood’ Kaeden Schatsiek showcasing his power in baseball. Canton won a Mid-Illini upset in softball and Eureka’s Rylee Dare fired a no-hitter, among many other big performances.


Peoria Christian and Morton won in girls soccer, Peoria High and Richwoods stood out at the Peoria All-City Meet and several boys lacrosse and tennis teams were in action.
