VARNA — Midland’s Daniella Bumber runs with a purpose.

There’s not many strides that the Henry/Midland sprinter can waste in short races that she frequently crosses the line first in. But with everything she does, Bumber is looking to prove herself, lift up her team, make her family proud and represent her hometown.

“Everything's going really, really good, and I've been feeling healthy,” Bumber said of her season. “I feel like good things are coming in my future.”

Bumber’s future entails a path not taken by many as the senior will soon be heading to the U.S. Naval Academy to continue her running career and serve her country.
