The Roundup, Aug. 17. 2026: Richwoods’ Cunningham, Dunlap win thrilling Schallau Invite, Illini Bluffs, Fieldcrest earn wins
One of the biggest golf tournaments of the season in Central Illinois took place on Monday with 12 area boys teams competing at Peoria Notre Dame’s Mickey Schallau Invite that saw lots of low scores.
Richwoods’ Shane Cunningham won a three-man playoff after firing a 67, Dunlap shot under par as a team and all top-10 individual finishers were under par as well. Illini Bluffs’ boys team also started off hot by shooting a school record and Fieldcrest picked up a win at the Midland Invitational as well.
