The Roundup, Aug. 29, 2026: Limestone, Tremont volleyball, Illini Bluffs soccer win tournaments

A busy Saturday of high school sports in Central Illinois featured volleyball, soccer and golf tournaments plus two big cross country meets, flag football, girls tennis and girls swimming.
Limestone and Tremont volleyball took home first-place showings in volleyball while Illini Bluffs, Bloomington, Metamora, Richwoods and Peoria Notre Dame were among the day’s winners in soccer.
Normal U-High’s boys and Dunlap’s girls golf teams had strong showings and Bloomington's Lorelei Hulsing and Eli Hartman plus Washington’s Ben Gorsage were the top runners in cross country. Normal Community and Richwoods flag football, plus Normal West tennis and Normal Community girls swimming and diving also won.
