A boys-girls doubleheader between Metamora and Morton at Illinois Wesleyan’s Shirk Center headlined Friday night’s high school basketball slate and was split with Metamora boys and Morton girls prevailing by close margins.
Bloomington Central Catholic, Washington, Normal U-High and Fieldcrest were among other notable winners in boys basketball. Many girls wrestling teams gathered in Pontiac with grapplers from Canton, Morton and Richwoods all taking home first-place finishes.
