The Roundup, Dec. 16, 2025: DeJesus reaches 2,000 for Dee-Mack, Canton pulls upset, Peoria Heights and Bloomington boys win close games

A fun-filled Tuesday of high school hoops provided milestones, upsets, edge-of-your-seat games, and several win streaks staying intact.


Dee-Mack’s Dalia DeJesus reached 2,000 career points in a sizable win over Williamsville while Morton, Washington, Dunlap and Metamora all looked impressive in Mid-Illini girls play. 


Canton boys basketball showed that it’s legitimate by beating a Mid-Illini power thanks to big games from Lakon Otto and Sivante Stokes. Bloomington, Eureka, Normal U-High all picked up quality victories and Peoria Heights hung on in a nailbiter. Illini Bluffs had a strong night on the hardwood as well. 


Richwoods and Normal Community swim also had several strong performances in the pool.
