The Roundup, Dec. 27, 2025: Several area teams punch tickets to semifinals, championships of holiday tournaments

A jam-packed Saturday of high schools hoops featured over a dozen holiday tournaments on the hardwood.
On the boys side, Normal Community, Peoria High, Normal U-High, Dee-Mack, Metamora, Elmwood, Eureka and Brimfield were all notable winners as they advanced deeper in their respective tournaments.
Washington, Morton, Eureka, Midland, Elmwood, Illini Bluffs, Dee-Mack and Peoria Notre Dame were all among the notable winners and IVC won the Peru St. Bede Lady Bruin Classic. Many girls wrestling teams congregated in Jacksonville as well.
