The Roundup, Jan. 5, 2026: IVC’s Nelton records triple-double, Dee-Mack wins key HOIC contest

A girls basketball-heavy bunch of games featured one of the rarest accomplishments, a triple-double which IVC’s Alayah Nelton did with points, rebounds and steals in a close win over Knoxville.

Heart of Illinois Conference teams had a strong night as Dee-Mack felled a fellow conference title contender and Eureka and Tri-Valley were both victorious. Manual hung on to win a double-overtime thriller as well. 

Farmington and Washington boys basketball and East Peoria boys wrestling were on the winning side in their contests.
