One wouldn’t have to look far to find a high school basketball game in Central Illinois on Tuesday that came down to the wire.
Class 3A No. 1 Washington came back against Dunlap in regulation, forced overtime and won while Canton, IVC and Manual all won key conference games in close fashion. Bloomington, Peoria High, Brimfield, Dee-Mack, Heyworth and Bloomington Central Catholic did likewise in boys hoops. Bloomington’s Tina Lenard reached a big career milestone as well.
Peoria Notre Dame’s Lexi Baer led the Irish to a win in her final game of her high school career before undergoing surgery.
