The boys’ Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament brackets are looking slightly different than expected after Tuesday’s results, which included wins by El Paso-Gridley and Tremont over higher seeds.
Peoria High took down Manual in the first of the teams’ two meetings this season while Normal West, Peoria Christian and Farmington all continued their much-improved play with victories. Midwest Central girls came out on top in overtime while IVC gutted out a nailbiter.
Several boys wrestling squads were victorious in duals, including Olympia, East Peoria and Tremont.
