A quintet of girls basketball teams gaining steam added to their solid recent stretches with victories on Wednesday, including a pair of teams from the Big 12 and Inter-County Conferences.
Normal Community and Brimfield extended their win streaks to three while Elmwood and Bloomington won their third of their last four contests. State-ranked Heyworth won in blowout fashion as well.
Normal West and Illini Bluffs took the floor in boys hoops, as did IVC, Farmington, Manual and El Paso-Gridley in wrestling.
