Shutout wins by Morton and Normal Community girls’ soccer teams over state finalists from last year highlighted Thursday’s high school sports action in Central Illinois. The bats for Canton softball and East Peoria baseball stayed hot and Eureka, El Paso-Gridley and Morton all won in both baseball and softball.
