The Roundup, March 21, 2025: Metamora, Washington win in baseball and softball plus Cogdal Relays in girls track

Plenty of different sports were in action on Friday with Metamora and Washington leading the way with wins on both the baseball and softball diamonds. IVC and Peoria Heights baseball both won with late-inning heroics while Brimfield/Elmwood softball won a key non-conference game against East Peoria.
Two Mid-Illini girls soccer teams were victorious and the Cogdal Relays saw many of the area’s best girls track and field athletes compete in Normal. Metamora boys track and Washington boys lacrosse were also in action.
