The Roundup, May 19, 2025: Washington baseball wins Mid-Illini, PND, Peoria Heights, Canton, Tremont among postseason winners

The Mid-Illini Conference has a new baseball champion and its the Washington Panthers, who clinched an outright conference title on Monday to headline the day’s happenings in high school sports.
Postseason play got started for Class 1A and 2A schools in baseball and softball in regional quarterfinal action. Peoria Notre Dame, Canton, Olympia and Tri-Valley baseball, plus Tremont, Eureka and Normal U-High softball were all victorious at the Class 2A level. Peoria Heights and Princeville baseball plus Heyworth softball all won in Class 1A. Washington also won in softball and boys lacrosse.
