Illini Bluffs’ Josh Vaughn had one of the best single-game performances of the entire year across all Central Illinois sports this season, throwing a perfect game and striking out every single batter he faced to highlight Friday’s big slate.
Morton, Normal U-High and Bloomington Central Catholic won big in both baseball and softball and local softball powers Olympia and East Peoria faced off. Other notable wins came from Richwoods and Metamora in girls soccer. Normal Community girls and Elmwood boys won their conference track meets, with a handful of other teams placing high at other events.
