Conference titles are starting to be earned across the board and Morton girls track and field was the latest to win one, narrowly edging out a competitive field at the Mid-Illini Conference Meet.
Normal U-High baseball also secured at least a share of the Central State Eight baseball crown with a big win and Dunlap, Metamora and East Peoria all won key games in the Mid-Illini to stay near the top.
Other highlights of the day included Brimfield/Elmwood winning in softball and baseball, Limestone and Metamora softball winning one-run games, Bloomington Central Catholic girls soccer staying unbeaten in conference play and Dunlap boys tennis earning a close victory.
