The Roundup, May 7, 2026: Brimfield/Elmwood, Olympia, PND, BCC, Normal U-High win conference titles, Dunlap softball wins big Mid-Illini clash

A handful of conference titles were won in various sports across Central Illinois on Thursday.

Brimfield/Elmwood baseball and softball both beat Delavan to clinch ICAC crowns while Olympia used a late spurt to win the Sangamo Conference in softball. Peoria Notre Dame girls soccer clinched at least a share of the Big 12 title while Bloomington Central Catholic won the outright Illini Prairie Conference title. Normal U-High girls track and field won the Central State Eight Conference Meet as well.

Other highlights included Dunlap softball widening its lead in the Mid-Illini with a pitcher’s duel win, walk-off wins from Princeville baseball and Farmington softball and strong performances in track and field from Normal Community, El Paso-Gridley and Henry/Midland.
