Friday’s high school sports action in Central Illinois largely featured non-conference games, led by a barnburner between Farmington and Eureka in baseball that led to a dramatic walk-off win for the Farmers.

Normal Community, Dee-Mack and East Peoria all won in baseball and softball and the Kickin Out Cancer event at Shea Stadium in Peoria featured three girls soccer matches.

Conference meets in the Big 12 and Prairieland were held with Normal West, Farmington and Elmwood/Brimfield leading the way, plus Peoria Christian, Eureka, Illini Bluffs and other teams putting in good results elsewhere. Metamora boy tennis continued its winning ways at the Pitchford Invite.
