The Roundup, Oct. 1, 2025: Washington, Peoria Christian, Pekin, U-High win boys golf regionals

One day after the girls hit the course to begin the postseason, boys golf regionals took place on Wednesday with 10 area teams advancing to sectionals. 

Washington put on a blazing-hot performance to win the Class 2A Metamora Regional and Pekin, Peoria Christian and Normal U-High also took home hardware. Illini Bluffs’ Crew Fortin, Washington Gavin Schreurs, Pekin’s Colin Kemp, Peoria Christian’s Elijah Ackerman and Normal U-High’s Brody Allen won individual regional titles.

Midland and Princeville were among four volleyball teams to win across the area while Peoria Christian and Manual added one to the win column on the soccer pitch.
