The Roundup, Oct. 30, 2025: Washington shocks Limestone to win regional crown, four Twin Cities schools among regional title winners

Several regional title outcomes in volleyball shook up the postseason on Thursday night and 11 Central Illinois teams went home with hardware and eight went home with a season-ending loss

Washington’s defeat of Limestone made waves as the Panthers were one of four Class 3A teams to advance to sectionals, along with Morton, Normal West and Normal U-High. Joining the Bloomington/Normal contingent was Normal U-High, who kept up its lengthy winning streak, and Normal Community. 

Tremont pulled off an upset of Illini Bluffs while Eureka, Brimfield, Heyworth and Peoria Notre Dame were all regional winners in Class 1A and 2A.
