The Roundup, Oct. 31, 2025: Dunlap, Washington, PND advance in football, Dunlap soccer falls in sectional title

Central Illinois had its first three football teams advance to the second round of the playoffs with three multi-score wins. In Class 6A, Dunlap ran past Pekin and in Class 5A, Washington laid down the hammer early against Normal U-High. Peoria Notre Dame overcame a long road trip to beat Marengo in Class 4A.

Dunlap fell in its sectional title game in soccer, leaving Washington, Normal West and Normal Community as the lone area soccer teams remaining in the postseason.
