The Roundup, Sept. 3, 2026: Jasker’s hat trick leads West to Intercity win, PND wins in football and soccer

Intercity soccer action continued to be ripe with entertaining action as Normal West’s John Jasker had a hat trick to lead his team to a rivalry win over Normal Community on Thursday night.

Normal U-High, Richwoods, Roanoke-Benson/Eureka and Peoria Notre Dame all won on the pitch too with the latter getting the job done in a rare Thursday football game. Pekin and Olympia were some of the area volleyball teams to add to their win column while Normal Community flag football and Dunlap girls swimming and diving also picked up wins.
