Tremont and Heyworth overcome slow starts, set to meet for regional championship

TREMONT – If basketball games ended after the first three minutes, there would be a totally different regional championship matchup.

But Tremont and Heyworth played through all 32 minutes of its respective regional semifinal games, and used big time performances by underclassmen to overcome early setbacks en route to double-digit wins. The two Heart of Illinois Conference rivals meet on Thursday at 6:00 pm at Tremont for a Class 1A regional championship.
