BLOOMINGTON — Tremont’s Brandon Tennon had never thrown down an in-game dunk entering Saturday’s Heart of Illinois Conference Tournament title game against LeRoy.

Teammate Griffin Meeker and the rest of the Turks’ seniors had never even had the chance to play for the tournament title either.

However, with the Turks leading by nineteen points in the fourth quarter, Tennon found himself loose on a breakaway, elevated and slammed home an exclamation point of a dunk.

Five minutes later, Meeker was waving his arms up at the Tremont fans in attendance at Illinois Wesleyan University’s Shirk Center, beckoning them to make more noise as the clock ran down in the final seconds of a resounding 69-46 win over the No. 1 seed Panthers.
