Clutch Sports Media conducted a poll for our weekly CSM Fall Athletes of the Week, sponsored by Jake Weston State Farm earlier this week with Teriana Jones of Washington volleyball and Owen Adams of Morton boys golf earning Girls and Boys Athlete of the Week, respectively.
Check out the full list of nominees here, and more about the winners below.
Jones won the Girls Athlete of the Week poll with 43 percent of the vote. The senior outside hitter was instrumental for the Panthers at the SETtember Fest tournament, hosted by Champaign Central last weekend, and earned all-tournament honors thanks to 24 kills and 23 digs across three matches on the second day of the event. Washington won twice at the tournament, including a three-set Saturday revenge win over Chicago Christian, who beat the Panthers on Friday in pool play. She also impacted a conference win over Canton on Thursday defensively with a team-high three blocks. Last Tuesday, she led the Panthers again with five kills and five digs in a loss to Dunlap.

A. Gabby Lucas, she's very creative and so funny. She would keep me very occupied with finding fun games or random activities to do.
Q. Favorite music artist?
A. Drake or Taylor Swift.
Q. Favorite food?
A. Any type of pasta!
Q. Do you have any pregame routines/rituals?

A. Caitlin Clark (Iowa women's basketball) or Logan Eggleston (Texas volleyball)

Q. What’s your dream career?
A. An orthodontist.
Adams won the Boys Athlete of the Week voting, with 39 percent of the votes in the boys poll. The sophomore shot the round of his life, a one-over-par 73 at Quail Meadows Golf Course in Washington to help the Morton Potters win the Mid-Illini Conference Tournament and earn medalist honors. Adams' previous lowest round was a 79. The feat was even more impressive considering that Adams was the No. 4 golfer in Morton's lineup and overcame significantly harsh conditions after a downpour of rain halted play for close to two hours and left the course soaked. Morton also got scores of 80 from Jacob Anderson, Drake Radloff and Grady Loudermilk to win the tournament with a team score of 313.
