East Peoria has long prided themselves with solid play on the diamond. Many special coaches and players have storied the Raiders history but veteran coach Matt Plummer, is expecting to see more from his 2025 group.
In 2024, the Raiders showed an upward trend with an improved record of 27-8 but ultimately fell to conference rival Dunlap in the regional championship. Several seniors led the way last season that have now graduated. However, many key players still are returning as the Raiders showed to be one of the deepest teams in Central Illinois.
Two of the area's top pitchers will take the bump for the Raiders including an Illinois State commit. Plenty of depth remains on offense with heavy competition for spots in this year's lineup. Rounded out by some fresh faces, East Peoria hopes to make a much farther postseason run.
Hear from head coach Matt Plummer, senior Korbin Parker and junior RJ Duncheon about what’s to come with the 2025 Raiders in their season preview below.
