The girls basketball season in Illinois reaches its midway point of the regular season with holiday tournaments of all sizes to fill the void between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
Thirty-two teams from the Clutch Sports Media coverage area will be taking part in holiday tournaments over the next few days in efforts to test themselves against unfamiliar competition and bring home hardware.
Several girls holiday tournaments in the area already in the books, as Heyworth won the Heyworth Holiday Tournament, Illini Bluffs won the Monmouth United Holiday Tournament and Metamora led several area squads at the Ottawa Holiday Tournament by placing second.
