2025 Soccer Preview: Dunlap eyes Mid-Illini three-peat behind stars Orris, Heiar and Hampton

DUNLAP — Dunlap soccer has been a longtime member of the upper echelon of boys soccer in Central Illinois and the Eagles are shaping up to continue that trend in 2025.
Twenty-year coaching veteran Allan Hanson has won 13 regional titles with the Eagles and the team has won back-to-back Mid-Illini Conference championships. As the team is looking to break through and end a sectional title drought, that vision could become a reality this season.
A year ago, Dunlap tore through the Mid-Illini while allowing just one goal in conference play and captured a Class 2A regional title. The Eagles’ season ended in heartbreak after a penalty kick shootout loss to Washington in the sectional semifinals, but several key players from that team return to the nest.
That group is led by IHSSCA all-state selection and junior forward Jackson Orris, one of Central Illinois’ top goal-scorers, plus fellow all-conference players Joe Heiar, Ben Hampton and Rohan Issac.
