2025 Soccer Preview: Normal Community equipped with momentum, five all-conference honorees returning

NORMAL — The last two years for Normal Community boys soccer has been nothing short of special.
The numbers and plaques have backed it up too. The Ironmen’s 35 wins since 2023 are tied for the third-most in a two-year stretch in program history. They also won their second consecutive Class 3A regional title last season and reached the sectional championship game before falling to state qualifier Edwardsville.
Five all-conference honorees return for Normal Community, including a potent trio of attackers in Believe Avida, Joyce Lubika and Logan Lelm. With experience and several familiar faces back on defense, the Ironmen are poised to be in the thick of a competitive Big 12 Conference race.
