CSM Baseball Power Rankings, May 18, 2026: Tremont seizes top small school spot, Washington moves up

Postseason brackets have been released and one week remains in the IHSA baseball regular season before the postseason fun begins.
Most teams will spend their last week before the playoffs testing themselves against non-conference foes but the Mid-Illini race still has plenty to be decided. Dunlap leads Metamora and East Peoria by one game and will face the former in a two-game set this week.
Washington moved up a spot in this week’s CSM Baseball Power Rankings and a pair of Heart of Illinois Conference teams did likewise, including Tremont who took over the No. 1 spot in the small school rankings.
Check out how the best baseball teams in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area stack up below in the latest Clutch Sports Media power rankings below. Teams in the Mid-Illini and the Big 12 are part of the large school rankings while area schools from any other conference are in the small school rankings.
