Another high school boys basketball regular season is in the books and it's one that resembled a battle royale where teams beat up on each other all winter long.

Few teams escaped with five or less losses, but that also means that two or more handfuls of teams have good reasons to believe that they can make a lengthy postseason run. Each of the last three seasons has produced multiple state finalists from the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area and it’s a streak that could continue in 2026.

This week’s CSM Boys Basketball Power Ranking feature Richwoods and Tremont joining their respective group’s top fives, plus Bloomington Central Catholic rising after a quality stretch.

Check out how the best boys basketball teams in the Peoria and Bloomington/Normal area stack up below. Teams in the Mid-Illini and the Big 12 are part of the large school rankings while area schools from any other conference are in the small school rankings.
