Dee-Mack girls takes No. 1 spot, several area 3A boys elevate in latest AP statewide rankings

The latest Associated Press statewide rankings crowned Dee-Mack girls basketball as the No. 1 team in Class 1A as the Chiefs were among 13 Central Illinois teams that were either ranked or received votes.


A trio of Class 3A boys teams in the area, including top-10 newcomer Peoria High, moved up while Tri-Valley girls and Normal U-High boys garnered votes for the first time in several weeks or longer.
