Eureka punches state ticket behind big performances from Alstat, Stoller

GENESEO — Eureka baseball has carried plenty of buzz throughout the season and now, the Hornets are on the state’s biggest stage for the second time in program history.


The Hornets secured a Class 2A state berth after a 4-0 win over Wilmington (24-9) on Monday at the Geneseo Super-Sectional behind a complete game shutout from Cohen Alstat.
