The most recent winners of CSM Spring Athletes of the Week, presented by Dominos, each won convincingly after garnering a large majority of votes in their respective polls. This past week's winners were Jordan Heider of Fieldcrest baseball and Meadow Terry of East Peoria softball and both athletes were instrumental in multiple wins for their teams between April 8-April 14.
Heider won CSM Boys Athlete of the Week with 50 percent of the votes in the boys poll. His biggest achievement of the week came during an HOIC conference game against Dee-Mack, where he hit a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the seventh inning to give the Knights a 12-10 win. He added a single, two runs in a walk in that contest and was the winning pitcher in the contest as well, throwing three innings with one hit and two unearned runs allowed. Heider contributed two hits and three stolen bases against Ridgeview on April 8, a double and a run against Heyworth on April 10, and two hits and a run against Putnam County on April 13.

"I would have to say my dad because he's been a person I've admired and tried to be like ever since I was a little kid. He's always been there to support me and help me with whatever I need. Without him, I wouldn't be who I am today."
Terry won CSM Girls Athlete of the Week with 63 percent of the total votes in the girls poll. The Raiders star strung together another massive week, especially in the circle where she threw 17 scoreless innings across three games, including complete-game shutouts in wins over Mid-Illini foes Dunlap and Limestone. At the plate, she went 3-for-3 with two RBIs against East Moline United on April 8 and went 3-for-4 with two doubles and three RBIs against Limestone on April 13.
