It was an action-packed Saturday of spring sports in Central Illinois, including in softball, where multiple area teams packed their bags for tournaments in Springfield and Rantoul. Tri-Valley, Normal U-High, Pekin and Olympia were among the teams who secured big wins.
In baseball, IVC took a statement win, Metamora won with a shutout and Normal West got its fifth win of the year. In girls soccer, Normal Community picked up a big conference win and multiple area stars shined in both boys and girls track and field.
