The Roundup, Aug. 15, 2025: Golf season debuts for Normal U-High, Community boys and Olympia girls

Friday served up a small golf appetizer to the fall sports season with Normal U-High’s boys and Olympia’s girls both finishing in the top five at their respective tournaments.
Several more teams were scheduled to hit the links at Champaign Central’s Ron Schaede Invite before the event was canceled due to high heat.

In boys golf
At Edwardsville: Normal U-High finished fifth at the Edwardsville Invitational, a tournament that featured many of the top teams in Illinois, with a two-day total of 613. Brody Allen led the Pioneers by finishing fourth overall at one-under-par. Normal Community took 14th with a 677.
In girls golf
At Williamsville: Olympia finished fourth at the Williamsville Invite at The Rail and was led by a 102 from Anna Johnson with Kennadie Finchum not far behind with a 105.
