The Roundup, Aug. 23, 2025: Metamora, Pekin have strong showings in golf

Metamora boys golf has carried momentum over from winning a regional title in 2024 to a strong start to the 2025 season. The Redbirds finished second at the Gary Saunders Invite in Macomb, led by a great round from Jordan Kerr.

Pekin girls golf made strides on Saturday, finishing third at a tournament in Rock Island with Leah Brown leading the way while Illini Bluffs boys golf and Dunlap tennis were also in action.
