Saturday supplied lots of highlights around Central Illinois with no win feeling sweeter than one for Bloomington boys basketball, which snapped a losing skid that lasted over a year. Also in boys basketball, Fieldcrest repeated as Colmone Classic champs and Metamora, Peoria Christian and Peoria High all won big games.
Washington and Morton both won in girls basketball at the A-Town Holiday Classic and Bloomington Central Catholic delivered a special win for head coach Debbie Coffman. It was also a big day for boys wrestling, with Washington, Morton, Canton, Olympia and Dunlap all faring well.
