The Roundup, Feb. 21, 2026: Trio of wrestlers win state titles, Washington wins boys swim sectional

Three state champions from Central Illinois were crowned in boys wrestling on Saturday as Washington’s Wyatt Medlin, Olympia’s Connor Collins and Canton’s Connor Williams all finished on top of the podium. Other wrestlers from Farmington, Canton, Olympia, Washington, Morton, Metamora and East Peoria also placed.
Tickets were punched to the IHSA State Finals in boys swimming and diving as Washington won a sectional title and swimmers from Normal Community, Normal West, Richwoods and Dunlap were among others to move on. East Peoria was victorious in the final regular season boys basketball game in the area.
