The Roundup, Feb. 23, 2026: Six area HOIC teams, five area ICAC squads move on in boys hoops regionals

Monday was a favorable day for a majority of the area teams who kicked off the IHSA boys basketball playoffs with regional quarterfinal victories.
With most of the action coming in Class 1A and Class 2A, the Heart of Illinois Conference featured six area winners while the Inter-County boasted five. Canton’s Sivante Stokes and Illini Bluffs’ Griffin White had big individual performances while Eureka, Roanoke-Benson and Delavan won the closest games of the night.
