Three of the six girls basketball teams in the Clutch Sports Media coverage area that were still alive in the playoffs entering Thursday kept their state title dreams alive by winning sectional titles.
Washington won emphatically on the road at Galesburg as Avery Tibbs made history and became the Panthers’ all-time leading scorer in boys or girls basketball. Tri-Valley came back in the fourth quarter to beat West Hancock by the smallest of margins and Dee-Mack’s defense paved the way in a big sectional title win over Heyworth. Richwoods and Midland came up short in their sectional championship games.
Check out all the scores, recaps and top performers from the night in The Roundup!
