The Roundup, Feb. 6, 2026: Eureka, Normal Community win key conference games, Peoria High sweeps in Big 12

Friday marked the last one of the year where boys and girls basketball regular season games were both held and featured plenty of conference wins.
Eureka and Normal Community pulled out important victories on the boys side with the Hornets getting the job done in overtime. IVC, Normal U-High and Tri-Valley also had notable wins, plus Bloomington’s Dallas Marshall Jr. and IVC’s Brady Ward had monstrous double-doubles.
While there were several Mid-Illini and Big 12 conference contests in girls hoops, the biggest game of the night was a Class 1A state-ranked matchup between Dee-Mack and Havana. Richwoods and Normal West picked up pivotal wins in the Big 12.
