Class 3A No. 3 Morton knocked off No. 1 Washington in a matchup of the titans in girls basketball on Tuesday night, adding another chapter to the great rivalry.
Speaking of Titans, El Paso-Gridley won a heart-stopping Heart of Illinois Conference tilt and Richwoods survived an upset bid from Bloomington. Other basketball highlights included IVC’s Anna Foster reaching 1,000 career points in a win-streak extender for the Grey Ghosts, Normal Community and Normal West winning in boys and girls hoops and Manual boys staying perfect in the Big 12.
Olympia and Tremont wrestling plus several area boys swim and dive teams were also in action.
