A big day for playoff softball in Central Illinois was kind to the Mid-Illini, who had five teams win in the regional semifinals. Illini Bluffs advanced to the sectional finals with a win while a strong season for Tremont ended with a tough loss.

Bloomington Central Catholic and Normal Community girls soccer were victims of second-half comeback in sectional girls soccer.
