The Roundup, May 26, 2026: Dunlap, PND soccer plus four area softball teams advance to sectional titles

Six area squads between softball and girls soccer secured their spot in the sweet 16 for their respective classes with sectional semifinal victories on Tuesday.

On the diamond, Bloomington Central Catholic and Dunlap both won one-run games and pushed across late runs while Washington and Illini Bluffs cruised to big wins. Peoria Notre Dame and Dunlap both posted shutout victories in soccer with the Eagles winning late again.
