The Roundup, Sept. 28, 2026: U-High soccer takes Intercity title, Delavan, Brimfield win in three in volleyball
Normal U-High boys soccer claimed supremacy over its Intercity counterparts, beating Normal West on Monday to win the coveted title. The Pioneers came into the match 2-0-1 in Intercity play while the Wildcats were 3-0 against crosstown foes.
Bloomington Central Catholic also won a soccer game against a crosstown rival while Normal Community and Morton battled in a close game. Seven area volleyball teams won, including Delavan and Brimfield who won Inter-County Conference matches. Several boys and girls golf teams got their last tune-ups in before regionals later this week.
