The Roundup, Sept. 29, 2026: Metamora, Normal U-High, Dunlap win girls golf regionals, Normal West volleyball wins 10th straight
The first postseason action of the 2026-27 season started on Tuesday with regionals in girls golf, where Metamora, Dunlap and Normal U-High all came away with plaques.
Several other teams advanced to sectionals next week and Normal U-High’s Audrey Hitt, Metamora’s Addie Mitchell and Bloomington Central Catholic’s Caroline Braucht won individual regional titles.
Morton, Eureka and Normal West all won key games on the volleyball court and IVC’s Kayt Miler reached a big milestone. Illini Bluffs and Washington won notable soccer games, Peoria High won a playoff flag football game and El Paso-Gridley led the way at the EPG Cross Country Invitational.
