Not too long ago, Washington’s boys’ wrestling defeated Joliet Catholic by one point to win the Class 2A dual team state championship. That was the headline written last year, a glorious finish to their season.
Things are a little different this year, but not in a bad way. The Panthers’ schedule has been harder and they won’t end this dance with a third battle against Joliet Catholic, as the Hilltoppers have moved up to Class 3A.
