CSM Softball Power Rankings, May 5, 2026: Big hitting performances lead to small changes among top teams

Many of the top softball teams in the area put up big numbers on the scoreboard last week with the postseason drawing closer.
Dunlap and East Peoria have both gained a two-game advantage in the Mid-Illini, although there’s still enough time for other Clutch Sports Media Power Rankings mainstays Washington, Pekin and Metamora to make a move. The small school rankings featured a new team sliding in to the No. 5 spot after a brief absence.
IHSA playoff brackets are set to be released on May 6.
